Museo de Antropología e Historia & something sweet
Last thursday we learned a little bit of history at the Museum of Anthropology and History. The museum is located in one of the many mansions that are on one of the biggest and most well known streets in the city of Mérida. Paseo Montejo is known for its architecture and historic homes (Some people still live in them!).
Students got to do some hands-on activites where they got to build pyramids from blocks/leggos. They also took time to observe the astonishing original pieces of different pre-historic pieces of México. Many of the museum items were brought here to show different ancient civilizations of México.
Alfter the museum our Global Navigators enjoyed one of the most famous ice creams/sorbets in town!
Many people claim that you can't leave Mérida without trying one and the kids definitely agreed on that one! Who doesn't like ice cream on a very hot day?
