La casa de las hermanas Mirabal

The Mirabal sisters fought against Trujillo's dictatorship and our symbols of the resistance to Trujillo as well as feminist resistance.  Three of the four sisters were assasinated by Trujlllo's regime.  Did you know that the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is on the day they were assassinated which was November 25th, 1960?  Every year November 25th this day is celebrated.  They represent power and strength for women.
