Initiation à la Danse Bretonne
Put on your dancing shoes and join our students in some traditional Breton dances. On Thursday students took a dancing class with 4 professional instructors who guided the group through 5 traditional dances. Students not only learned the dances, but a bit of history about each dance.
We started off each dance by learning the basic steps and then adding in our hand motions. Students also learned how to listen to the music for cues when to switch to different parts of the dances. Some dances were easier than others, but the group got the hang of each dance by the end. Be sure to ask your student to show you their new dance moves!
