Getting in the Game
Sports Management will always be about the athletes. Today, there was no shortage of athletes in Barcelona, as the Sports Management Global Navigators joined students and teachers from Montseny Centre D'Estudis to learn some new games, and take to the hardwood in a competitive basketball tournament.
After getting to know each other, students from both programs played some basketball related games, including a basketball/baseball combination which involved students running bases as shots were missed, and being "struck out" when a shot was made. After some warmups, teams were selected, and students from both programs became teammates, learning to communicate through sport. Four teams competed in short semi-final games leading to a championship matchup that was entertaining for all involved.
The competition was intense, but friendly. New friends were made, and the teams celebrated by doing The Macarena.
