Fun at Parque de Atracciones Madrid
After an intense first week of academics and cultural immersion, our study abroad group was ready to unwind. We had spent the week adjusting to Spanish life, attending Spanish classes, and exploring Madrid through various cultural activities.
On Friday, we boarded the metro and headed to Parque de Atracciones Madrid, the perfect spot to relax and celebrate. Excitement filled the air as we arrived at the park, greeted by towering roller coasters and colorful carousels. Throughout the afternoon, we enjoyed thrilling rides and refreshing cold treats.
Following our adventure at the amusement park, the students returned to their host families for a relaxing weekend immersed in Spanish culture. Many planned to further explore the city, visit local markets, or simply spend quality time with their host families, experiencing the renowned warmth and hospitality of Spain.
Madrid was also buzzing with excitement because the Spanish soccer team won the European Cup. Our students had the incredible opportunity to witness firsthand the fervor Spaniards have for fútbol. The streets erupted in celebration, with fans donning team jerseys, waving flags, and chanting victory songs. It was a spectacular display of local culture and community spirit.
