First week in La República Dominicana

It's crazy to think about how much has been jam-packed into a mere week of being here! Upon arriving, our group hit the ground running. So far we've visited a waterfall, a beach, a colonial zone, a museum, and so much more! I think more than anything, the first week abroad is a time of processing and becoming accustomed to the new environment. The participants are interacting with locals in the target language every day! We've taken a ridiculous amount of photos, we have danced, and we have eaten La Bandera (the most typical of Dominican dishes)! The photo shows some members of our group at the waterfalls we visited in Jarabacoa after a long orientation.
