First Sight of the Irish Sea
In Dun Laoghaire, the students explored the Sunday market and the wide variety of food trucks. They got their first sight of the Irish Sea and had the chance to swim or dip their feet in! The weekly activities began with a walking tour about the most significant women during the Irish Revolution, and next up was the Rediscovery Center. This excursion included an introduction of the ways in which donated bikes, clothes, and paint are reused. Inspired by creativity, the students had a craft night back at the accommodation, along with a traditional Irish Stew for dinner. They also partook in an Ice cream social on their rooftop terrace to mingle and debrief the activities they have done so far!
To round out the activities before heading to Carlingford for an outdoorsy weekend, the students raced through a scavenger hunt in the beautiful Phoenix park, taking selfies with a variety of monuments and even wild deer!
