Fan Advertising Culture in Korea
Korea is a place most well known for its music, specifically K-pop. One significant part of K-pop is its fan culture. Many fans come together under communities such fan cafes and fan sites. These cafes and sites are managed by a homma, or an home page administrator.
Hommas are important in the fan community because they plan many events that unites fans through their love and dedication to the respective idol. Events include sending food trucks to the idols' performance sites, sending birthday presents, and organizing advertisements dedicated to celebrate the idol.
This blog post is a collective of advertisements put up by fan sites in order to either bring attention to a specific idol or to celebrate that idol's birthday.
