Environmental Projects: Friends of Nature & Smart Air
In their quest to learn more about local environmental projects in Beijing, our Global Navigators visited a low carbon emission apartment hosted by the environmental non-profit Friends of Nature. Friends of Nature has a model apartment that is outfitted and designed to have low carbon emissions and be environemntally friendly. Friends of Nature staff and volunteers gave us a tour of the apartment and told us about the other projects they have going on.
In addition, Smart Air - a social enterprise creating air purifiers to combat global pollution - met with us to explain their global mission and how they are helping people in Beijing and internationally have access to affordable air purifiers.
