A Day For Creativity
Today, we were able to see who the artists are in the group. Our cultural activity was a painting class. The students painted Chichen Itzá on sombreros. Sombreros are a Mexican hat, and Chichen Itzá is an important Mayan location. Every student added their own style to their painting. It was really fun to see what they came up with and what details they added. Even better, their new hats can help protect them from the strong rays of the Yucatecan sun when we go to the cenotes and the beach on Saturday. Attached to this post, you can see the students during all parts of the creative process and their final products proudly displayed.
