K-Pop Immersion

What a group of talented students! Our Kpop Immersion group learned how to dance to "How Sweet" by New Jeans by the well-known dancer Hexxy. They did well trying to keep up with her pace and succeeded in dancing to the tricky choreography. Even those who felt uncomfortable showing off their dance moves did a great job in the end, performing in small groups without the trainer helping them. It was an impressive show, given that they only had an hour and a half to learn the part. Hexxy seemed impressed and gave them a chance for a small group or solo performance at the end. The cheers rang in the dance studio as we celebrated our talented dancers. Thank you, Hexxy, for such an experience!

Right after dancing, the students rested by listening to the wonderful Jungheum band. They have been making music since 2014 such as the recent opening OST from the Korean drama "The Interest of Love" on Netflix. They could play some original music that highlighted their relaxing and soothing songs. As a treat, they also did covers of familiar songs for our students, such as "Dynamite" by BTS, "Attention" by Charlie Puth, and "Love on Top" by Beyonce. We all sang along with one another, showing off some of the singers and those who love various types of music. Thank you, Jungheum Band, for giving us a memory we won't forget!

We got a chance to learn to sing with others and learn to dance from others, but now it's time to showcase the talent within our group! Some students volunteered to perform their skills in front of their peers. We have some wonderful singers and dancers in our group. We had some cheer mixes, self-choreographed dances, and some really skilled singers. Everyone encouraged all who volunteered because the most important and challenging step was getting the guts to go on the stage.

Hold on, not finished yet! We also had a lip sync battle with some brave people who wanted to show their versatile talent when entertaining the audience. All participants did an amazing job with their own style, showing off the song they knew so well; it looked like they were singing it themselves. After crowning the battle's winner, it was a fun and entertaining finale to such a talent-filled day. The students learned so much from singing, dancing, and discovering talented people among their friends. Everyone deserved a golden buzzer as we returned to the hotel, preparing for the next adventure.
