Barcelona 2023 week 2
It's been an amazing week thus far. Students are having a great time experiencing the amazing culture of Barcelona through 4 different experiences. An in-depth visit to Casa Mila, one of the many wonders of the architect Antonio Gaudi, as been a favorite of many students. This amazing house is located not far from the CIEE study center. Next, during a Flamenco workshop, all students had the chance to learn and experience this traditional dance of Spain. A third experience this week has been a graffiti workshop in a neighborhood of Barcelona in which students had a chance to create their own urban art. The week wraps up with a visit to the Boqueria Market just off Las Ramblas. Within this market, students are exploring the many foods that make up the Spanish diet. Our focus throughout this week has been to understand and experience the culture of not just Barcelona, but of Spain as well.
