Your Destination
Tokyo is Japan’s sprawling, cosmopolitan capital city, known for its vibrant nightlife, rich blend of traditional Japanese and contemporary global cultures, world-class museums like the Tokyo National Museum and Mori Art Museum, distinctive cafés and ramen shops, cutting-edge shopping districts like Ginza and Shibuya, and beautiful parks and green spaces such as Ueno Park and Shinjuku Gyoen.
CIEE wants all our students to feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed while studying abroad. Local CIEE staff have provided details about conditions and cultural attitudes that students with specific identities might encounter in Tokyo.

- Company Visits: Visit a digitally native company, a consulting firm, or a local non-profit foundation to gain an in-depth understanding of the work environment in Tokyo.

Excursions & Activities
