Welcome to Buenos Aires
Let me be the first to welcome you to Buenos Aires!
I recently joined CIEE as Director of the newly created Global Institute. CIEE has been operating in Argentina for more than two decades and now is evolving with the times. This is a fresh new start to offer a mix of both: studies at local universities and CIEE-led courses.
We feel proud and honored that Buenos Aires has been selected as one of the 10 locations in the world to offer Open Campus programs. During Open Campus, students spend up to one semester choosing one or multiple locations to gain international perspective. In Argentina, CIEE also offers college level programs focused on Liberal Arts, Community Pubic Heath and Intensive Spanish Language. Other study abroad experiences range from Faculty Led & Custom programs to four-week summer courses for high school students.
Buenos Aires is alive! Its non-stop rhythm beats as fast as its evening hangouts, restaurants, soccer stadiums and concert venues and as slow as its classical architecture, Palermo green parks, newly created bike paths and the Rio de la Plata delta. This city has a lot to offer and we hope you choose us for the experience of a lifetime.
Personally, my selection of CIEE has not been for the job but for its mission. For more than 70 years, CIEE has been transforming lives through international education and this is something that I firmly believe in. Having done international studies myself while at school, at college and for my graduate degree, I know first-hand what this type of experience does to you. It opens your eyes like nothing else can. Centuries ago, Agustine of Hippo said: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page” …but you already know.
I hope to see you in Buenos Aires and listen to your story!
The world is our classroom. Join us.
