New Home in Buenos Aires!
August of 2019 sets a new milestone for the history of CIEE in Buenos Aires: We are moving to a gorgeous new home!
This month the Global Institute is moving to a fantastic centrally located new site. The selected property is a French-style Petit Hôtel originally built in the 1920s. The architectural style is magnificent and the decoration is super modern, making it a perfect place to be inspired and focus on learning while the city continues running at its non-stopping pace outside. We can’t wait for the world to see it!
Now as the summer winds down, we are switching gears to the Fall semester that’s staring with the classic Liberal Arts program and new sessions for the Open Campus Block program. This past summer was extremely busy with the introduction of the Summer in Buenos Aires for college students and the Language & Culture program for high school. During this time, we also ran the Community Public Health and Intensive Spanish Language programs that we have been offering for quite some time now.
For this upcoming winter, we are excited to start yet another brand new program with a January session focused on Tango. This 4-week course will cover the origins of this unique musical movement, and the numerous ways in which it influenced the entire culture of the city and its people.
Lastly, we would not like to miss this opportunity to share the enthusiasm of the city of Buenos Aires for having been selected as “Best Place to Study in all Latin America” for the fifth year in a row. This award is a true testament of the number of fun activities that take place in this world capital, and the welcoming warmth of its people that make of every occasion a social activity to be shared with friends.
“Mi casa es su casa” as they say...
We are looking forward to your visit!
