My top 4 favorite cafes in Sinchon
So as most of you may know, South Korea has one of the biggest cafe cultures and I AM LOVING IT!!! Cafes are the best place to meet up with friends, do some homework, study, or try some of the most prettiest and tastiest desserts. I often find myself visiting a cafe at least twice a week because I like the ambiance of being in cafes; the chatters, the clinking of the dishware, and the smell of coffee and desserts! All of these cafes are about a 5 - 10 minute walk away from the front gate entrance of Yonsei University. For those reasons, I have shared my top 4 cafes around the Sinchon area that I think you should pay a visit to.
Cafe Namu
Cafe Namu is one of my favorite cafes to go to because it's a 24-hour cafe and the desserts are CHEF KISS!! However, since I have the misfortune of being lactose intolerant, I am not able to enjoy most of their delicious desserts but I will say that their caffeine is STRONG and will give you the boost of energy you need to complete your homework or study. However, Cafe Namu tends to get busy and packed very fast. The aesthetic of Cafe Namu is very cozy, relaxing, and the seating is structured like a lounge area. There are two floors and the windows face the streets of Sinchon, you’ll have the ability to see the sights of Sinchon but also study.

Cafe Place
Cafe Place is a 24-hour cafe, which I may say is very convenient if you plan on pulling an overnighter to study (which I really don't recommend). But the desserts and drinks at the cafe are AMAZING!! They even sell 설빙(Sul-bing); a Korean dessert that is mainly composed of a variety of flavors, but overall it's very tasty and I recommend you try it!! But I will say that in this cafe the first floor seems to be the social area while the second floor seems to be a quieter section of the cafe. Also, I recommend trying the honey bread, it was very good!!

3F Cafe
3f was one of the first cafes I visited! There was this amazing and wholesome lady (who seemed to be the owner) who took my order; she was so nice, warm, and cheerful. Also, I tried a croffle for the first time there and when I tell you, IT WAS SOO GOOD!! You have to try it! The cafe plays a lot of Krnb, specifically Ph-1 which I also love!! Also, most students take up space in 3f, even the layout of the cafe seems to cater to those coming to either converse with friends, study or do homework while enjoying the tasty and aesthetically pleasing drinks available at the cafe. Overall, I love 3f <3

Gabean
I have only been to this cafe once but when I tell you, this cafe is it!! It's soo good! For starters, the ambiance and style of this cafe is soo cutee! The cafe looks aesthetically pleasing outside and inside; it has this friendly and cute decor. But most importantly, the food available at the cafe is the highlight. I got this nutella, banana, ice cream waffle with a strawberry ade and the waffle was delectable!! I was obsessed with the cafe and then after eating the waffle, I fell in love. A unique feature of the cafe is a section of the cafe where the windows are open and when you look out, you’ll be able to see Sinchon. Also, the cafe tends to give these small snacks along with the meal you ordered. I got this crunchy sweet bread which I saved for later in the day. Overall, this cafe is top-tier.
