Here's how I spent 4 rainy days in Busan :')
The rain has been ruining my trips here in South Korea. I swear that every time I make plans to travel outside of Seoul, I spent most of my trip dealing with the rain. And that's exactly what happened when I went to Busan. It rained all day for 4 days straight ㅠㅠ. I traveled to Busan with a friend, whom I mostly relied on with planning our itinerary. I mostly only wanted to go on the cable cars, go to the beach, and explore Gamcheon Culture Village(I only got to do one out of the three). To get to Busan, we bought KTX tickets and the trip from Seoul to Busan was about 2 hours and 30 minutes. After arriving in Busan, my friend and I headed to our Airbnb, an apartment in the city of Seomyeon. The area was very quiet and peaceful. There were also a few places to eat nearby. Our Airbnb was soo beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Since it rained so often, my friend and I spent a lot of time watching K-dramas and movies on the projector in the room (link to Airbnb down below). But in case it rains in Busan (I hope it doesn't!)I am going to share a few things that my friend and I did during our time in Busan.
First Full Day in Busan Memo: We went to this cute brunch place called 부런치 (Naver link down below!) where my friend and I had one of the most delicious, soft, flavorful french toast. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Afterward, we headed over to Gamcheon Culture Village, which was so beautiful and vibrant. There were a lot of stores selling things ranging from clothes, souvenirs, food, stationery items, and more! There were a lot of Instagrammable spots within the area and beautiful artwork on the walls. Overall, even though the rain came pouring down during our time exploring Gamcheon village, I did have a lot of fun exploring the area. After we went to the movie theaters to watch Guardians of the Galaxy, the recent film, Vol 3, which was very funny, I also came to the realization that I may have missed a few Marvel movies.
3rd Day in Busan Memo: We went to an area called Jeonpo (전포) to do some cafe hopping. The area is filled with many cafes and aesthetically pleasing places to dine at. We went to the cafe Your Type (유어타입) and Butter (버터빌), where I also had another French toast dish, which was also extremely delicious. At that point in time, I was heavily craving American/western breakfast dishes. Afterward, we headed over to Jimin’s Dad cafe called Magnate! The cafe was so beautiful; it had a signed copy of Jimin’s album Face, hats he wore, and the artwork of Jimin, and there was a table filled with fans bringing photos or cards demonstrating their love for him. At the cafe, we had some desserts that I honestly cannot remember what they were called but were delicious. After, we went to Museum 1. Museum 1 is a media art gallery; the art was very vibrant, aesthetically pleasing, and almost seemed perfectly made to take Instagram photos as well.
To sum up, I advise everyone to make a trip to Busan during their time in South Korea. It is a beautiful, calm, and vibrant city. The food is amazing (of course) and it was very interesting to witness the difference between a Seoul accent and a Busan accent. Even though it rained the entire time, I still had loads of fun and I hope to revisit Busan once again!
