If you plan to study abroad in South Korea, one thing you absolutely have to do is visit Jeju Island. Just one short plane ride away is the beautiful place called Jeju, known for their lovely beaches and plentiful tangerine farms.

I visited Jeju in early November this year, and I think that was the perfect time to go. It was just after the temperature started dropping so we weren't stuck with the blistering heat from the weeks prior. It was very cool and comfortable weather not too hot but cool enough to wear a light sweater when traveling about.

We started our weekend out by going tangerine picking early in the morning at a tangerine cafe shaped like a big orange basket. Indulged in some delicious tangerine juice before we set off with our baskets. being out in the fields was so fun and so freeing. A complete 180 compared to what we experience daily back in Seoul. We collected two full baskets of tangerines and had so much trying to find the best looking fruit to have in our possession.

After we collected our tangerines, we headed over to Snoopy world to see what they had to offer. We got there about an hour before they closed which was unfortunate since the tour would've took 2 hours, but that didn't deter us. We walked around the complex looking and the beautiful scenery and statutes, and bought some cute items from the gift shop!

That night we had famous Jeju pork barbecue for dinner and it was very delicious, made it quite obvious why they were famous for it. and it was also the location Gdragon from BIGBANG also ate at which was really cool.

Our next day started off with us at Innisfree, which has lots of skincare and bodycare made from natural and organic ingredients and trying some of the samples made my skin feel amazing.

We ended up doing something a little more high energy for our next activity, we did tangerine themed go kart racing (spoiler alert: I came out on top) we were given tangerine themed helmets and got into orange karts and zoomed through the tracks as fast as we could. I remember lapping everyone on the track three times marking my victory.

The night was still young and our energy was still high so we decided to get BHC for dinner and travel to Yonsei Port (we are Yonsei students we have to go). For it being just a port it was actually quite fun. We were running up and down the port laughing and giggling the whole time. And at one point we ran all the way down the port as far from land as possible and just screamed all our worries away. It was so freeing and refreshing.

But sadly all good things must come to an end, and the next morning we had to prepare to leave. We visited a gift shop to get some more tangerine themed merch and Jeju knickknacks. And wandered across the coastline in front of our air BnB.

Jeju was so fun and freeing and such a nice escape in comparison to the bustling city of Seoul where most of our time is spent. It helped me realized that South Korea has way more to offer then what is in Seoul and that life can slow down enough for you to stop and smell the flowers, or in this case tangerines.
