Day Trip to Tangier!
Over the weekend, we took a lovely day trip to Tangier! The students first stopped at the Cave of Hercules, where Roman legend said the hero stopped to rest before stealing the Golden Apples from the Garden of the Hesperides. Next, we rode camels at Cape Spartel while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and saw where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. We wrapped up the day with a tour of Tangier’s Casbah and Old Medina, seeing historic homes and Bab al-Bahr, which offers an amazing view across the Mediterranean, all the way to Spain. Despite the long day, several of the students remarked that they wanted to spend more time in the city, so we can’t wait for their next visit!
