Email Signature Guidelines

Changing the ciee.org link to ciee.org/<insert product here> (eg – ciee.org/study) is acceptable and optional
Social media icons are all linked by default to CIEE corporate pages. If you would like, you can change the links to a piece of the business closest to you (eg - @cieeteach or @cieeseville).
You may not change these icons to your personal social media
Do not add quotes, personal mantras, pictures, headshots, or link to non-CIEE social media accounts
You have the option to add pronouns to your CIEE email signature. This is an effort to make our professional space more inclusive and respectful of all genders. Options to select your pronouns are in the form linked in the button below. Any disclosure is optional and CIEE will never assume your gender identity based on your expression or pronouns.

Create Signature

How To Enter A Signature Into Outlook

Open Outlook and create a new email message.
Click the 'Signature' icon in the top toolbar and click "Signatures...".
If you already have a signature listed, click to highlight it.
If you are currently not using a signature, click the "New button, type your name, and click the "OK" button.
Copy the generated signature above and paste it into the 'Edit signature' text area.
Click "OK"

Heritage Backgrounds

To apply backgrounds, follow these steps:

Zoom

In a Zoom meeting, click the upward arrow (^) next to Start/Stop Video.
Click Choose Virtual Background.
If prompted, click Download to download the package for virtual background without a green screen.
Next, Click on an image to select the desired virtual background or add your own image by clicking + and choosing if you want to upload an image or a video.
Select one of the new backgrounds and close the screen.
To disable Virtual Background, choose the option None.

MS Teams

When you are in a Microsoft Teams call, click the three dots on the meeting settings bar.
Select "show background effects"
Choose your background from the background settings pane.
To upload an image of your own, select Add new and pick a .JPG, .PNG, or .BMP file from your computer.
To turn off background effects, select the black background.
Either preview or select apply to enable your background.
