Day Trips to Take
Living in Spain traveling around Europe is a lot faster and cheaper than when living in the U.S. However, while you are finding your footing with the new school schedule, and you are itching to travel I would recommend taking some day trips to different countries in Spain. I recommend Toledo, Segovia, and Cuenca. I hope to get to Avila one day soon.
Toledo
This is a beautiful city full of old stone and narrow streets that weave together. I spent the day there exploring with a fellow Aux. We wandered along the thin streets and just found random shops to explore. We found jewelry shops, candy shops, and souvenir shops. My friend and I even found this super cool church that let us go up into the bell tower, giving us an opportunity to see the most breathtaking view. Toledo is somewhere I highly recommend.
Cuenca
Cuenca was a cute little area as well. Just outside the city there are houses that are built into cliffs that are just so cool to see. There was a cool little half bridge structure that gave us a great view Cuenca. I totally recommend that you go there when the weather is still nice. I went with another fellow Aux, and it was fun but oh so cold.
Segovia
I think Segovia was such a fun trip. I went with my dad and brother who were visiting me at the time. We went to the aqueduct, into a church and to the castle. In the castle we bought tickets to go up into the tower and that was a blast. My dad and brother love to eat, so honestly, I tried so many different types of food. I would totally recommend the pig; it was so good.
