A Weekend in Granada
On Saturday morning we took the bus to go to Granada. It was a 3+ hour-long trip. We saw the landscape going from flat in Sevilla to more hilly as we got closer to Granada. When we saw the profile of the Sierra Nevada mountains, we knew we had arrived to our destination. We were very excited about this trip.
After a short rest at the hotel, we headed to La Alhambra. We had a guide telling us the history of the castles in the citadel. Palaces, gardens, fountains, all were in such an enjoyable calmness!
Then we had some free time in the city centre, and went back to the hotel to eat dinner.
On Sunday morning we got up early to eat breakfast and then head to the city centre to visit El Albaicín and La Capilla Real. It was a fresher day. It was overcast and at times it was dizzling: ideal for walking around the city!
Then we got back to our hotel to eat lunch and head back to Seville. That's how our first weekend of the program went.
