Visit to Nara 6/24/-6/25/23
Last weekend, we visited Nara, an ancient city near Kyoto. The students had fun staying at a Ryokan (Japanese Inn), eating a traditional dinner, and feeding "shika senbei" (traditional crackers) to the local deer, who were very docile, at Nara Park. They also enjoyed decorating pottery. Several students purchased kimonos and wore them around town. They also saw the awesome Buddha statue at Todaiji Temple.
