¡Todos a bailar!
Our cultural activities have finally started. Yesterday afternoon, students participated in a Latin rhythms class. What a great way to immerse themselves in Latin culture! We had a great instructor; he started dancing at a young age and one of his first genres was freestyle. One of our own, Jaydon, shared with all of us some freestyle moves!
They were so excited to learn new steps to dance to salsa, cumbia, bachata y merengue. Did you know that each genre comes from different countries across Latin America? For example, salsa comes from Cuba and cumbia comes from Colombia.
Dancing is a great way to express ourselves and it provides so many health benefits. Dancing keeps us happy and always in a good mood. I´m sure students will return home sharing their moves with their families and friends!
