Last Thursday, we went to the Chion in Wajun Kaikan and had a lesson in how to play Taiko. Great fun!

On Saturday, we stayed at the Tamaru Ryokan in Nara and had a traditional Japanese dinner. Some of the students work cotton yukatas during dinner. We visited Todaiji Temple, and saw the fantastic, enormous statue of Buddha. Some of the students got to pet the docile deer which populate the area.
