Russian Cooking Class!
So what have we been eating all these days?! Some of our favorites have included Teremok, which is a quick-eatery that boasts all types of Russian bliny (crepes). Other favorites include Soviet style cafes such as Kvartirka or Dachniki. Towards the second half of the program, our students gave their hand at creating their own Russian food. Together with a master-chef, students prepared a batch of Borscht, "Pozharskiye" chicken cutlets with mashed potatoes, and for dessert, apple pirozhki.
Overall, the cooking class was a success. Students learned how to prepare their favorite Russian foods, and the dinner was one of our most tasty dinners, during our time together in St. Petersburg! Molodtsi!
