Roman Holiday with CIEE
What can I say, everything here is wonderful! In this first week we've seen so many things, learned a lot about the Italian language and culture, and we had the opportunity to get to know each other a little better. All the kids are working perfectly, have presented wonderful projects and Italian seems to be familiar to them now.
During these days we visited the historical part of Rome: Piazza Venezia, the Trevi's Fountain, the Pantheon, a night tour with a projection at the Forum of Augustus and much more... Obviously we did not miss the charm of "Roman life": shopping in Via del Corso, cafes and ice cream in Trastevere, jogging at Villa Sciarra, guided tour of the Botanical Garden of Rome, fresco workshop and much more.
Ah, it is useless to underline how Italian food is slowly conquering the hearts of the students, pizza and pasta are never left out!
This first week has been wonderful, the boys seem excited and eager to do and discover, luckily we have 3 more!
