Our Visit to Shinobugaoka High School
On 6/23, some of the students visited a local high school. While there, students were split into four different groups and had the chance to join in on one of four different club activities. The four clubs were the English club, the taiko (Japanese drum) club, the Japanese dance club, and the cooking club. Of course the students had fun with the club activities (for example, in the English club some students tried on kimono/yukata and played Japanese games, while in the cooking club they made anmitsu, a Japanese dessert), but the main goal was to interact with the students there, which our students did well! Many students were exchanging contact information towards the end, and one of the students even got his shirt signed by the club students he had interacted with!
