New Beginnings
Konnichiwa from Tokyo, Japan! Students are having a fabulous time learning and using Japanese in real life. They had a train stamp rally on the biggest and the most unique railway line in Japan, not only to get used to the complicated transit, but also to use Japanese to ask for directions to the location of stamps. During the group work, they were able to get many stamps with smiles on their faces! They also had an opportunity to visit a local Japanese elementary school and tried communicating with other children in Japanese as much as possible. The kids from the local school taught them about calligraphy, martial arts, origami, and traditional Japanese toys. They then played in the field together and continued to learn what games Japanese children typically play!
