Kayaking in Pantano de San Juan
Our final weekend in Madrid was spent kayaking in Pantano de San Juan. We enjoyed meeting the advanced language and culture program and a pleasant private bus trip to the lake. Once we arrived we learned the basics of rowing and got into groups of two or three. It was strenuos at times, but we quickly learned how to best paddle across the lake to a private beach where we were able to swim or hike around. Afterwards we returned to another beach where we were able to enjoy our packed lunches and get to know each other better. Finally we traveled back to Madrid and were able to rest after one of our favorite activities this program.
