Japanese paper making
Hello from Tokyo!
On the last week of Tokyo exploring, Students tried Washi making. Washi is traditional Japanese paper, produced by hand using wood fibers. On the first floor, there has a lot of items made by the Washi, students enjoyed the variety of washi items before creating their own washi.
At the workshop, they got the instruction in Japanese, and learned the process of making washi. There was a lot of processes, it seemed like it was hard for them to follow the long process at the first. However, the instructor helped each of the students. Therefore, they can try to make their own one by themselves without the advise by the instructor. Some people might have a little thinner or thicker paper but it also make their own art unique.
