Inspired to Create Original Art at Le Petit Palais!
This week students explored the art and architecture at Le Petit Palais (not to be confused with Le GRAND Palais across the street!). Students were given freedom to explore the museum at their own pace. Their "devoirs"? To take a picture of themselves next to a piece of artwork that they connected with or that captured their attention and explain (en français!) why they chose that piece. Explanations ranged from enjoyment of the colors to a commentary on power and politics then and now. But some students took it a step farther and created their own art through photography. And had a lot of fun in the process! Can you tell the students from the statues??
