Hakone Overnight Trip
All students took a trip to Hakone for an overnight trip on Week 2 of our four week program! This trip was memorable because of the food, experiences, and memories made along the way.
We stayed in a traditional Japanese Ryokan (hotel) with a hot spring bath. The students who chose to participate in this expressed how calming and soothing this was. Along with the baths, there was a dinner and breakfast buffet with so many options that students enjoyed seconds and thirds!
On Sunday, we took a bus to Odawara castle (pictured) where we went on a tour of the history behind the castle. The tour guide even gave the students hand made origami hats as a gift! There were ninja excursions and gift shops that the students enjoyed spending time at.
Overall, this trip was enjoyable for the students to spend time together as a big group, and get to know each other, the locals, and the culture.
