Gymkhana and Pizza!
As a way to celebrate the end of our month together and put students’ newfound knowledge to the test, we challenged students to a treasure hunt (Gymkhana) throughout Madrid.
Each group of students received a set of questions. Some questions required students to recall information they learned over the course of the month while others required students to travel to specific locations in the city where they had to take a group selfie. The first team to arrive back to the CIEE office with the most answers correct would be crowned the winner.
Students had about an hour and a half to complete the treasure hunt, but most teams arrived back to the office well before the time limit. As the teams trickled in, the judges (program leaders) reviewed each teams’ answers. In the end, team 2 was crowned the winner and team 3 came in a close second.
After congratulating our first and second place winners, we continued celebrating the end of our month together with pizza and Coca Cola.
