GUACAFEST
Make your guacamole
As part of the cultural activities and interaction with society, the students visited the food markets in the city of Merida Yucatan, looking for the best ingredients to create one of the most delicious and representative dishes of Mexican cuisine, guacamole.
Buying the ingredients was an adventure where everyone participated in managing the money they would use, the ingredients they would buy, the way they would order their products as well as the route they would have to take to find everything in the market.
The best guacamole wins
Now that they had the ingredients, it was time to prepare the guacamole, but this would not be so easy, now they would have to compete against their own classmates to prepare the best dish.
the following were evaluated: presentation of the dish, originality, flavor and a secret ingredient.
Creativity shone in the guacamoles, the use of ingredients such as fruits or chicharrón highlighted the flavor and originality in their dishes as well as their incredible presentations.
As a judge I can assure you that the decision was difficult but I know that the students had fun and learned more about our culture and gastronomy.
