Come, Let us See- The Colosseum
What felt like the surrealness of being admists the making of a movie, was actually a reality for us on today's adventure.
The Colesseum, with its network of underground paths, the monolithic amphitheater stands as one of Rome's most coveted attractions.
It's walls are built of travertine limestone, tuff (volcanic rock), and brick-faced concrete and It is the largest amphitheatre ever built. The fact that it is still standing to this day is testiment to it's excellent structural foundation. The Colesseum is a manmade wonder.
Standing within the same structure where Constatain the Great was honored, James Bond's Spectre was filmed and where Russell Crowe starred in The Gladiator, a rush of excitement filled the group.
Thanks to our student photographer, MaKiyah H., we have some wonderful photos to showcase today's greatness.
