Beach Day!!
Hola!
We had a great weekend in Progreso, the beach town just 20 minutes away from Merida where Meridians go when it’s too hot in the city. The day started off with a short boat ride to the natural reserve, El Corchito. Once there, we cooled off in the Cenotes and admired all the wildlife. We saw fish, turtles, iguanas, lots of racoons, and even two baby crocodiles having a nap!
After the reserve, we headed to the beach where we enjoyed a leisurely lunch right on the beach. The students were able to tan, swim, play futbol and enjoy the sea breeze. By the time we headed back to Merida everyone was tired and ready to spend time with their host families.
