Arrival in London

After long flights and lots of anticipation, the students and program leaders arrived at London Heathrow and were bused to the Royal National Hotel at Russell Square. After a short visit to the students' rooms, the group met in the lobby and walked across Russell Square to the CIEE Center for lunch and a quick orientation and neighborhood tour followed by dinner and an early bedtime.
Monday was spent on a full orientation of the program followed by games in the park and for those interested a short supervised visit to the shops. Students enjoyed a popular English dinner of chicken curry.
The center is located directly off Russell Square in a friendly historic building with historical architectural detail.
