Adventures in Shifen and Jiufen!
This trip took us to Shifen and Jiufen in New Taipei City, where we enjoyed a day full of adventure and fun.
In Shifen, the students experienced the unique activity of releasing sky lanterns. They carefully wrote their wishes in Chinese and watched in amazement as the lanterns slowly ascended, carrying their dreams and hopes. The excitement was palpable, and the students' faces lit up with joy, capturing the magic of the moment.
Then, we visited the breathtaking Shifen Waterfall. The students were in awe of the spectacular sight, with the cascading water creating a mesmerizing scene. The fresh air and stunning natural beauty provided a serene backdrop, allowing the students to relax and fully enjoy the moment. They eagerly took numerous photos, capturing the beauty of the waterfall and the joyous experience.
Our journey then took us to the historic town of Jiufen, where the charm of narrow streets and quaint shops enchanted the students. They explored the local stores, and savored delicious snacks like taro balls and grass jelly cakes, each bite more delightful than the last. They also experienced a tea-tasting session, applying the tea knowledge they learned last week. Sipping tea while enjoying the picturesque scenery of Jiufen was a truly enchanting experience. The setting sun cast a golden glow over the town, making it even more picturesque, and the students couldn't resist capturing these enchanting scenes with their cameras.
This trip was not just an excursion; it was a rich experience that left the students in awe of Taiwan's natural wonders and deepened their understanding of its cultural heritage.
