The Adventure Begins...
Greetings from Rome to Parents, Family, and Friends!
This is Frieda Gebert, one of the Program Leaders of the Rome Program. Thanks for trusting me with your student; I will do everything I can to keep your student healthy, happy, and BUSY! My Co-Leader, Andrew Serio, and I plan to take turns posting to this blog, as well as ask students to chime in from time to time. Thanks for letting us share this journey with you.
Our travel day was, thankfully, uneventful! No missed flights, no lost luggage, and no lost students! Just lots of tired, but excited travelers. We made lots of new friends and spent time making sure all our connections to friends and family back home were working well. (See picture of phone frenzy) After checking in to our hotel, we had pizza at a local restaurant and got basic information on safety and logistics. Dinner and a quick meeting on the terrace rounded out the day and then it was off to bed for our weary travelers.
I hope you will continut to enjoy the adventure with us. Ciao, for now!
