Western Washington has partnered with CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange, to offer the following provider programs during the academic year.
The programs below are available to Western Washington University students for:
- Fall quarter
- Winter quarter (Open Campus programs only)
- Winter-spring quarters (spring semester)
- Spring quarter (Open Campus programs only)
- Full academic year
Western Washington financial aid may be used to participate in these programs.

WWU Students studying abroad at an Open Campus location can select to remain in that location for the entire duration of the program, or move around to various Open Campus sites (depending on immigration considerations). All questions about this requirement can be directed to the WWU Education Abroad office or their CIEE program advisor.

Scholarships & Grants

WWU Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available through Western Washington University for:
- Summer programs that are a minimum 4 semester/6 quarter credits (for part time summer aid)
- Quarter programs that are minimum 8 sem/12 quarter credits (for full time aid)
- This includes federal loans, federal/state grants, Western scholarships, parent/private loans, and other forms of aid

Need-based Scholarships
Based on students' Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) from their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and enrolled institution. Complete the Scholarships & Grants portion of your program application to be considered for all awards to which you are eligible.
Merit Scholarships
Based on academic achievement. Complete the Scholarships & Grants portion of your program application, along with an essay, to be considered for all awards to which you are eligible.
Other Scholarships
