Wondering How to Afford Study Abroad?

CIEE is committed to helping every student – regardless of socioeconomic background or academic major – access a transformative study abroad experience. As a result, CIEE offers more scholarships, grants, and other funding opportunities than any other provider to help make your study abroad experience a reality. Simply fill out the CIEE Scholarships and Grants application along with your program application. You will be considered for every scholarship and grant you are eligible to receive.

With proper planning and a commitment to exploring funding resources, studying abroad can be affordable for any budget. There are many factors that influence choice in location and program; while one important factor is cost, don’t let that be the one that deters you from an enriching international experience.

Take it from your fellow Scarlet Knights...

  • "I'd say meeting new people and experiencing a new culture is probably the more exciting elements of studying abroad. Meeting a new family in Chile was also something that I wasn't expecting, they will forever be in my heart and I consider them part of my family as well."

Raydel R., Spring '18, Valparaiso Liberal Arts

  • "Participating in a CIEE Study Abroad is truly an once-in-a-lifetime experience."
