Arts + Sciences (Queen Mary)

Studying abroad at Queen Mary University of London, through the Arts and Sciences program, was truly one of the greatest experiences of my life. London is a city that has something new to offer every single day, and I made the most of it by walking around as much as possible and immersing myself in its history, culture, and vibrant energy.

Two of my favorite places to explore were the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum. Both left me in awe with their incredible collections, stunning architecture, and the sense of wonder they inspire. Each visit felt like a journey through time and creativity, and I often found myself losing track of hours wandering through their halls.

Another highlight of my time in London was exploring Battersea Power Station. The area is a fascinating blend of industrial history and modern reinvention. I spent hours walking around, soaking in the unique atmosphere and appreciating how this iconic structure has been transformed into such a lively hub.

Of course, no visit to London would be complete without the classics. Whenever friends came to visit, I took them to see Big Ben. Watching their faces light up as they saw it for the first time reminded me of how lucky I was to be living in such an incredible city.

This amazing adventure was made possible by CIEE, the program that gave me the chance to not only study abroad but also meet some of the most amazing friends I could have asked for. Together, we explored London, shared unforgettable memories, and grew in ways I never imagined.

Studying abroad in London wasn’t just about academics—it was about living in one of the best cities in the world, embracing its diversity and culture, and growing as a person. It’s an experience I’ll treasure forever, and one I highly recommend to anyone seeking adventure, growth, and a deeper connection to the world.
