SPRING 2020: WELCOME TO DAKAR
January, 18 2020. A new semester begins, new students boarded for what we hope to be an epic adventure. We started the journey with an orientation that sets the atmosphere with an introduction to senegalese society and general cultural norms like the tradinional meal around the bol and the behavior expected from students. We also talked about health, safety and security rules and behanviors students should pay attention to while in Dakar.
Students partake in a tour of the city of Dakar, to discover its main landmarks and famous sites. the tour was held in a "car rapide", which is the most common public transport vehicle in the city.
There was also an excursion for students to discover Goree island.
