Semester in Shanghai: Week 4 + 5
It’s Golden Week here in China, a national holiday celebrating the anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, and we have an entire week off of classes to explore China! I decided to venture to Zhangjiajie in China’s Hunan province to see the famous Wulingyuan Scenic Area, the inspiration for the landscape of the movie Avatar, and Guilin in southern China to visit the Sun and Moon Pagodas, Elephant Trunk Hill, and the beautiful rivers that run through it. I had the opportunity to experience a lot of firsts, including my first sleeper train, watching the nationally televised Golden Week celebration in Beijing with my Airbnb host, and even getting a traditional Chinese full body massage. I highly recommend visiting these locations while in China if given the opportunity as they definitely did not disappoint. To watch my Semester in Shanghai: Week 4 and 5 vlog click the link below.
