La comida de Sevilla!
When I am travelling, one of the first things I look up is "best foods in x city". I always try to find the local, authentic, and hole in the wall restaurants that can offer a cultural experience and satisfy my tastes buds. Having lived in Sevilla for 1.5 years, I have generated a pretty good (in my opinion) list of the best restaurants and tapas that represent Sevilla and Spain.
Foods: This is my list of HAVE TO TRY tapas while in Spain and Sevilla
- Gambas al ajillo
- Croquetas
- Tortilla de Patatas
- Patatas Bravas
- Pimientos baby fritos
- Huevos Rotos
- Manchego
- Jamón Serrano / Iberico
- Paella

Restaurants:
- Bodega Góngora: montadito piripi (you have to get this little sandwich)
- Bodeguita Antonio Romero
- Bodega Díaz Salazar
- El Rinconcillo (oldest tapas bar in Sevilla)
- Osteria L'Oca Giuliva (BEST Italian food)
- Rayas (Icecream)
- El Librero Tapas y Quesos
In my opinion...
- I feel like a lot of the major center streets in Sevilla students can fall into "tourist trap" restaurants Personally, I would avoid restaurants on Calle Alemanes and those side streets. They tend to be pricey and meh food.
- There are also a lot of little cafés and desert places where you can find cheap eats that taste REALLY GOOD!
