Exploring Paris with a New Friend
By: Maryam Vanbaelinghem
I made a friend from London here in Paris and we decided to do a little activity to explore the city. Each week we would go check out one or two arrondissements and take a polaroid of something from each arrondissement. In this blog and subsequent blog posts, I will share my favorite arrondissements.
She and I went to the seventh on a random Monday at 1:30 to head up the Eiffel Tower. This turned out to be the absolute best time to visit the Eiffel Tower. The place was EMPTY, we ended up going up and down the lift by ourselves. At the end, even the conductor acknowledged the emptiness saying “hope you guys enjoyed your VIP lift experience.”
We walked from Passy to the Eiffel tower and then headed over to Trocadero to grab even more photos. It was a wonderful day and the polaroids turned out great. I included one of the photos of the Eiffel Tower from Trocadero, which we later found out is technically the 16th.
