Greetings! My name is Mitchell Chang and I’m originally from Walnut Creek, California. I am excited to share my study abroad experience in South Korea with CIEE. Over the course of six weeks, I got the chance to experience travel across the peninsula, from a cityscape like no other to a countryside with a tranquil atmosphere that is almost unheard of. With newfound friends, there came the chance to visit theme cafes, vibrant shopping districts, hole-in-the-wall places, and national landmarks. The discovery of new ideas, people, and places would go on help me realize aspects of my own identity, challenge them directly, and lead me to changing or affriming the beliefs I carry. I have no regrets choosing to study aborad in South Korea as it truly has been life changing for me. With my posts, I want to showcase some of the most memorable moments of my trip, share some of my own thoughts, as well as give a few pointers to anyone interested in traveling to the country in the near future.
