Cecelia Halle is an activist, artist, and student of Art History and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the George Washington University. Her academic research is primarily oriented around South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art with a focus on art created in Adivasi regions. In her research, Cecelia strives to create post-colonial, anti-imperialist art history, which actively resists Western modes of periodization and canonization. She is greatly excited to be studying at the University of Hyderabad, and looks forward to visiting as many museums, archives, and artists workshops as she can while in India.
