Bethany G.

I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BS in Psychological and Brain Sciences and minor in Speech Hearing Sciences and Disorders. My major/minor are a huge mouthful haha, but I am so passionate about both fields! I am a science nerd at heart. In addition to academics, I love to express my creative side and have been an avid dancer my whole life. I danced with UCSB's professional team for 2 years then became an instructor specializing in jazz and hip hop and I absolutely love it!! I also come from a biracial family, with my mother being a fourth generation Californian and my father being from Mexico. I am so proud of both of my cultures! Living in Madrid is going to be such a spiritual and personal experience for me, learning about my Spanish roots as well as perfecting the language and gaining valuable cross cultural experience. I am so thankful and excited for this experience!
